Dr. Tamika Lang obtained her bachelor's in biology from Fairfield University in 2010, her master's in health sciences from Duke University School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in 2014, and her doctorate in medical sciences with a focus on education in December 2022 from A.T. Still University. Dr. Lang is a board certified Physician Assistant (PA) and has previously worked clinically in inpatient internal medicine as a hospitalist PA at New York-Presbyterian/ Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York, NY, and as an inpatient and outpatient palliative medicine PA. She currently holds faculty appointments for PA and Doctor of Medical Science programs and works clinically in inpatient internal medicine as a Hospitalist in Greenville, SC. She also volunteers at a free medical clinic that provides primary care to uninsured patients in Clinton, SC.

From 2019 to 2021, Dr. Lang lived in Munich, Germany, where she worked as the Head of Research and Clinical Affairs for an umbrella myeloma patient advocacy organization. Since this time she has expanded her portfolio to include and developed patient engagement, educational, and research projects in various disease areas such as sickle cell anemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, myeloma, neuroendocrine tumors, and most notably educational projects that address the increasing maternal morbidity and mortality amongst the Black and Brown community in the United States. Dr. Lang continues to built relationships with the patient community and the pharmaceutical industry to promote patient engagement in clinical trials and other initiatives to raise the patient voice. She hopes to continue to use her unique perspectives and expertise in medicine, clinical experience, and advocacy knowledge to build international relationships with industry and patient advocacy organizations to improve advocacy, health literacy, and patient engagement.
